Use these spring cleaning hacks to freshen up your rental home.

Spring cleaning is critical for keeping your vacation rental looking its best. Are you struggling to freshen it up for your guests? There are several spring cleaning hacks that can help improve the effectiveness of your cleaning and make your rental look better than ever.

Water Rings

Do you have water rings on the furniture that need to be dealt with? Try placing a damp cloth over them, then ironing them out. The water rings will lift, and your furniture will look fresh and clean!

Glass Shower Doors

Getting glass shower doors clean and sparkling doesn’t have to be as difficult as you fear! Fill a spray bottle with vinegar and spray the solution all over the shower door. Leave it for ten minutes, then add baking soda. Cut a lemon in half, add salt to it, and use it to scrub the shower door and wipe it clean. This is a great way to clear your shower doors and remove built-on soap scum.

Oven Racks

Dealing with oven racks can be a real challenge, especially if your guests have been unusually messy or you’ve let it go for too long without checking on it. Thankfully, there are spring cleaning hacks to help you deal with it. Make a paste out of vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice. Apply it to the oven racks, then let it sit for an hour. After that, you should be able to wipe off the solution, along with much of the accumulated grime.

Glass Stovetops

Want to get your glass stovetops shining again? Shake baking soda across the top of the stovetop, especially on any stubborn stains. Squeeze lemon juice (fresh from the lemon is best!) on top of the baking soda and let the chemical reaction occur. Once it’s stopped fizzing, wipe it clean. Often, you’ll find that this simple tactic completely lifts even burnt-on stains.

Shower Heads and Faucets

Do you have buildup on your showerheads and faucets? Want to make sure they’re running their best? Fill a plastic sandwich bag with vinegar, then tie it around the faucet head. After an hour, you can remove the bag and run the shower or faucet to wash away the vinegar. The water will flow more smoothly, with less buildup.

Hard Water Stains On Chrome

Hard water stains can be incredibly frustrating whether you have chrome in the shower or the kitchen. Luckily, spring cleaning hacks can remove those stains. Just soak a paper towel in vinegar, lay it on top of the chrome surface, and let it sit for ten minutes. After ten minutes, use a clean paper towel to wipe it away. Hard water stains will vanish!

Spring cleaning your vacation rental doesn’t have to be a challenge, even when dealing with stubborn stains. With these simple hacks, you can wipe away stuck-on messes and get your rental back to looking its best.

A clean rental is one of the best ways to provide a great first impression for your guests. By using these spring cleaning hacks, you will be sure to put your rental’s best foot forward.
